RICHTER7 LAUNCHES EIGHTH ANNUAL
PUBLIC RELATIONS STUDENT OF THE YEAR CONTEST
SALT LAKE CITY, March 4, 2011 — Richter7, a Salt Lake City-based advertising and public relations agency, is hosting the eighth annual Public Relations Student of the Year contest, which recognizes students who demonstrate superior skills in communication and public relations. The winner will receive an Apple iPad 2 and a $500 dollar cash award.
“This is a great opportunity for Utah students to further their education by showing their skills to those in the industry,” said Tim Brown, Richter7 partner and executive VP, public relations. “Participants will gain first-hand strategic planning and presentation experience as they prepare to enter the public relations field.”
The PR Student of the Year will be selected based on professionalism, academic record and aptitude for success in public relations as demonstrated through a written case study and oral presentation. Students will generate a hypothetical public relations plan with objectives, key messages, strategies, tactics and social media, which they will present to the Richter7 judges.
